NOL is a digital river, following the path of the Nile from Alexandria to Aswan, and horizontally crosses the country from the Western Oasis to the Sinai. The NOL technology will be deployed as needed. Currently, there is a full-fledged Network Operating Center (NOC) to control hundreds of thousands of dial-up access ports. The NOC will continue to grow in parallel to additional deployment in 2001.

NOL is proactive
In ensuring high reliability and security. Every switching node has uninterruptible power, and the network contains diverse paths to avoid single points of failure and provide optimal routing and traffic flow. The network also has a built-in firewall system. Additionally, NOL's state-of-the-art NOC provides proactive network monitoring and fault resolution 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
